Air Lock Industries Suppressor

This concept started with an unsolicited offer by the two Airlock representatives within this thread, it wasn't my idea. If it was a joke, or it was untenable, or no longer apart of the Brand's identity, neither were communicated. It was even doubled down on last night saying a demo unit could be sent to a local SOT. One was provided in this thread and via PM. What cadence of reminder would you suggest is appropriate?

Your continued attack of Danny's character is in violation of Rule #4 of this forum. I have never gone this route on a forum, ever, until I read your posts. You're simply out of line dude.

If you think Danny and Presswood are in some sort of cahoots to trick Roksliders, please file a report with the Admin and Mods.

Otherwise, accept the man's statement that he is not working with anyone in this thread as a shill.

It's that simple.

This is getting to the point that I’m starting to wonder if the accuser is actually an Airlock gorilla marketer. If so I think it is starting to work. Sneaky 😂.

I imagine several others also bit on both the US group buy as well as the recent Airlock preorder. There should be plenty of SxS comparisons coming in the next couple of months.

He would have to own a suppressor for that to be true… maybe the silliest part of the entire thing.

I'm in no hurry to spend hundreds of dollars on an item that I will own for life which probably has very low resale value if it turns out bad
This is a stigma that needs to die. Once the fee is relieved, it's nothing more than a Form-4 transfer through an SOT. If you don't like the can you can probably take a $100 loss and move it just like a rifle.

Have you tried selling a suppressor? It’s like trying to sell a used .220 Swift or an old car battery. Even without the tax stamp cost, how do you know that some nimrod hasn’t done a magazine dump in it?

I agree, I don't think it will be easy, unless you significantly drop the price. Then add in a transfer free that a SOT will require.

Just like all the ".5 MOA all day rifles" for sale in the classifieds. They're being sold for a reason. So what will it be for the suppressor? "Super quiet can, just too many taking up space in the safe"?

I tried selling a Scythe Ti to three different people who had never heard of the problems with them. The highest offer I got was - with me covering the tax stamp and a dealer who didn’t charge any transfer fee - was $150. For that price, I can use it on a silly little rifle until they recall it.

Getting back on topic…

Maybe a used Airlock will sell better because there won’t be 30,000 of them made anytime soon? And it will be the most desirable can of all time?

I think what we'll see is a bigger trade in and consignment market. I plan to sell one or two of mine after January and no doubt they'll sell but average Joe probably isn't gonna deal with the hassle. Trade ins will be easy though.
