Air Lock Industries Suppressor

Is there a notible difference in recoil mitigation and muzzle rise between the OG and AirLock? I'd guess the improved effectiveness at capturing gases helps the AirLock? But then perhaps the fact that the OG is signficantly heavier offsets the AirLock's recoil advantage? Thinking out loud, observations or thoughts appreciated.
I don’t really notice a big difference either way on my 6.5 prc . The zero G definitely captures more gas so you’d think it would handle recoil better

Ive blown up 2 cans and never noticed any significant recoil just a large concussive blast similar to a radial brake (inside a shooting bay both times).

I could see a rupture causing shrapnel of flying debris but the recoil just doesn't add up to me theres no extra energy in the system.

I blew up my Scythe last week on a 6.5/7 prc and I knew immediately from the recoil something wasn’t right. Hard to explain but i would say it felt more like I shot it non suppressed and without a brake. Nothing crazy but I also had my cover on too ? IMG_1843.jpg

I want to see it vs the thunderbeast ultra 7. Which I know is little harder because the ultra 7 has a brake. I have an ultra 7 and waiting for my airlock but I don’t have a 5/8/24 threaded brake

Here is a customers video. He told me that the Ultra 7 and Zero Gravity had a similar sound level.

Ultra 5, Dominus K, Zero Gravity, Ultra 7 in that order.

Danny,

When do you anticipate having test results from 20” barrels? Thank you.

Yeah this what I remember more recoil than suppressed but not worse than unsuppressed. I still feel its being exaggerated somewhat. Assume your unscathed also?

Yeah the total mass is conserved but the locations of the masses change quickly, which is where the exaggerated felt recoil can originate.

I understand the idea. But total potential energy is 100% limited by the powder charge. Maybe if your shooting something requiring taming i get it but one of mine was a 7mm rem mag and one on a 308. Both overbarrel and relatively lightweight cans of the same model. Both times the monocore fractured and the outer tube and front half onf the monocore were launched down range. Im trying really hard to didg up photos as the last one was back in like 2019 or so. Both failed due to internal corrosion (alluminiun cans)

Unscathed and Unscythed that is
Yeh with the price of your cans the financial impact would hurt. Those two cans of mine both cost around $300usd. The 3d printed titanium cans (some of the first produced i believe) still only run us around $600US.

I would quite like an Airlock since our suppressors haven't changed much in a decade and we dont have the market for development the US has.
