Air Lock Industries Suppressor

He could add 5 ounces to the airlock to take whatever abuse from a 223 you deem acceptable and it would still be MUCH MUCH quieter and lighter than the OG . I don’t need my 6.5 silencer to be built like a tank . That’s what my inconel 556 silencers are for …

You mean like a 7.4oz 128dBA 6.5mm can?

Build a quieter silencer and you wouldn’t be grasping at the durability straws …

I don’t build anything- they aren’t my cans. You have not seen me post a single negative thing about Airlock until now- a can being damaged from 50 rounds of 223 is BAD. That is a device that is less than 2 feet from your face- and 50 rounds of 223 causes damage? Hell no.

Again , I don’t need my bolt action silencer to hold up to 556 mag dumps …

It isn’t about holding up to mag dumps- it’s about a metal container that is containing muzzle blast and gasses that turns into a functional Claymore when it lets go. That you have no idea why it’s bad that it’s starts failing at 50 rounds of 223 is the issue. My comments aren’t about any can versus any other can- it’s about that 50 rounds of 223 should not be causing physical damage to a centerfire rifle can.

Btw- here’s the “heavy” can from above that has zero damage from 6x30 round round mags from a 10.5” 5.56 at near cyclic, more than 100 rounds of 20” 300 win mag, and more than 2,000 rounds of 5.56 during two classes-

it’s ready to machine gun elk , now just make it quiet

Lets skip the bet and get the paperwork started for a trade, I want an OG and you don't seem impressed with it, Ill take the short end of the stick and give up my banish 30.
I’ll definitely get rid of the OG on January 1 . How many rounds through the banish ?

Fists are out, lets go.

All Idaho companies. Lets do side by side destructive and sound testing.

So it can be found later- just like the Scythe..

50 rounds of 223 causing a blowout is a serious red flag.

We did multiple 20 rounds on a 16" 6.5 PRC burn downs back to back, it cool, and it had no issues, I can post as many of those as you want. The reason this one failed is 2 reason, It was BLEM with a chip from a printing error in the end cap and because of the temperatures. Again its a hunting suppressor, we have put thousands of rounds on the ones we did the burn down (I still use it) and it has no issues. I will do 30 rounds, let it cool, 30 rounds, let it cool and do that as much as anyone wants. Same with the PRC burn down.

To be clear, I have nothing against UK, I think they make a good product and would like to keep the comments civil.

I have no dog in this fight. I have never heard an OG in person or an airlock, but after watching that video my interest in the airlock has faded. I already own a scythe that I'm nervous about coming apart. A can that only takes 50 rounds to become damaged does not interest me at this point.

I do hope both companies are successful and keep innovating. I love the trned they both have toward hunting specific cans!
