Anyone else noticing a lot of AI looking posts lately? Brand new profiles asking super generic questions, or giving advice that reads just like it's copy and pasted. One example here.

What a weird time we live in that hunting forums are being used to train AI.

Look through the rest of the forum. Lots of the ragebait type posts recently are from similar newer profiles. The more pissed they get people, the more data they aggregate.

I never thought of that, it seems very possible now. I've been wondering if anti 2A and anti-hunters have infiltrated hunting/ firearms forums. AI could only help them even further.

Course they have. Not just antis, either- information is the currency of tomorrow. There are hundreds of dudes responding to AI algorithms as we speak effectively training them up on hunting tactics.

So i am getting pretty discouraged with elk hunting, I have been at it 25 or 26 years and never punched a tag. I at least used to see elk in my areas, but it seems like the last 5 to 7 years we are lucky to hear a bugle let alone see anything. Last year in 6 days we put on 70 or so miles and saw no elk, no bugles and 30 or so hunters. How do you guys find the elk? So far we have put on 20 miles since opening yesterday morning and not a thing to show for it other than meeting about 10 new people in the backwoods. It has to just be luck right? Anyone have any tips that could help me out?

How long will a properly fleshed salted cape keep, assuming it is fully dry and is kept at room temperature? Everyone always says "get it to your taxidermist ASAP". Sometimes ASAP is not very quick.

Well judging by my taxidermist friends actions, if a cape is properly fleshed out, salted and dried it'll sit there for months on end while they collect enough hides to send in to the tannery. Properly fleshed means all remnants of fat was removed (the salt won't penetrate through the fat and into the hide and the cape will rot in that spot if it wasn't) and the ears turned. Did you...

Yes, I have been noticing posts that seem like AI intel gathering posts rather than an actual humans asking a question.
