That was just removed. I was looking at that stock on their site last week. Best looking stock in my opinion. Wonder if the rights to that design was purchased by someone (Springfield?)

Hello,
We took the K2 stock to SHOT show to get some feedback from customers before we finalized the design. We have the final tweaks, based on customer feedback, complete and will have the stock into production in the next few weeks.
Any update on a release date and tech specs?
I was sad to see it removed from the site. It looked great at SHOT. This may be the perfect fit for a build I’m in the middle of.

Hello,
We are still working on the design. 2022 is proving to be the busiest new year start we've ever had. Hopefully have the design done soon.

Love your stocks, but I’d really like to see AG come up with a lighter option for maintaining fore end stiffness than a 1/4” thick aluminum bar. I’d bet there are some options that might trim a ounces off and still keep the fore end off the barrel. I’d also really like to see the options for Tikka stocks be more widely available.

The aluminum piece in the forend is not there for stiffness. It is for drilling and tapping to install swivel studs, rails, etc. In the past we would only put a small piece of aluminum (1" x 1", 1/4" thick) in the forend to drill and tap for your swivel stud(s). Over the years we've learned that after someone placed an order, all too often, they would call and say they want to change the order and put a rail on the stock. We would then have to make a new stock and place a long enough aluminum piece inside that could be drilled and tapped for a rail. Or a customer, after they've had their stock for a while, wants to replace the swivel studs with a rail. With the aluminum piece running along the bottom of the forend it gives the customer options for swivel studs, rails, tri-pod attachments, etc. We make stocks for rifle manufacturers such as Bergara, that only have a 1" x 1" piece in the forend and the stock is still extremely stiff. Carbon fiber is amazing stuff.

I will second Wind Gypsy on the negative comb idea. Would love to see more companies doing that.

So is the shorter or no chunk of aluminum an option if someone were to request it? I am personally fine with mounting a rail with tee-bolts through the stock. I reckon that might void a warranty and I’m okay with that too. How much weight does the aluminum in the forearm add?

Hello,
Eliminating the aluminum piece will save you about .75 ounces.

Any news on the changes. I paid for one in December and no updates or communication.

Hello,
We are finishing up all the tooling this week. We will start laying up the stocks next week. The first stocks should start shipping late May. New photos will be hitting the website Mid May as well. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks
