Came across this design. Folds up. 15 oz.
anyone have any experience with this saw?

I have one, used it one 1 hunt. It's neat and I'll but I probably wouldn't buy one if I lost the one I have. Although it doesn't weigh a ton, it's still a weird big piece of gear to fit in your pack. I cut ok on the bigger stuff but I think there are better saws out there for the purpose. I'm learning that for the most part, I don't need a saw, even for my little stove.

It is a pretty functional design and seems made to decent tolerances. I have the original 21" version and no complaints. As Smokeslider said, it is slim and lightweight but awkward to carry efficiently in a pack. I don't have much use for a saw of that size (21") while backpack hunting....but....I have carried it in my pack while hunting elk in steep country with a lot of blowdown. Thought it may come in handy if I got lucky but the elk died under some logs in a tight spot.

I am tempted to get the new 15" version because I like the one I have and the smaller one would certainly pack better. I need to look closer at the size log the 15" will work on without killing an arm.

It is different than the silky style saws so that is your preference call. But I like the Boreal better than the Dustrude, Sven, and similar bucksaws.

I have the 21" version and several Silky's. The Agawa Canyon saw, with the addition of the sidney rancher blade for dry wood, will go through larger wood, faster than anything else. It's all we carry on canoe trips for campfires and portage trails. It's heavier than the Silky options. If I'm hunting in the forest I'll bring a little folder for clearing shooting lanes, but if you need to clear wood the Agawa is a solid choice.
