Don’t buy a McMillan if you want a light stock. There is something about the Savage action where they have to fully glass it in for enough strength. Final stock weight will come in at around 30 oz, even with Edge fill.

I learned this one the hard way, but they did eventually refund my money.

I had Todd Bettin make one of his customs for my LWH when I had it. Stock with pad and bedding was 25oz. That included a 1' decelerator and paint. He raised his prices, so I'm not sure it's worth the cost now days. He used to include bedding and cerakote for $650. I think now it's like $750 and no cerakote included.

You can also use a lady hunter stock. It has the thin barrel channel, decelerator, and nice comb. It's short too so helps for compact, but some don't like that. Numerich has them for around $90. They have free shipping now too. It says 111 model, but description says short action and I can confirm it was short action when I ordered one a while back.

Stock,SA,RH,Drilled for QD Studs,Monte Carlo,Chkrd Wlnt w/Grip Cap&Black

I'm sure it goes without saying, but my stock was NOT highly figured like their picture :)

I ended up selling the rifle to make space. I didn’t get it out to use much prior.

Other than the hollow sound in buttstock, it was GREAT. Last I checked, he changed much of his pricing and I would not pay what he’s askinh now. When I bought it, it included cerakote on the rifle and other stuff.

I’d love some feedback on Ruger lcr as its on sale this week for dirt cheap. If you could offer some insight I’d appreciate it! Can only do so much on feedback.
