Has anyone on here had any experiences with numzaan in South Africa. I’d love to chat with anyone via email or phone about there experiences and realistic expectations on how much it’d cost one to go. Was the high bidder on an auction at a banquet and it claims to be a 5200$ value but don’t think it is and am debating whether to consider it a friendly donation or making the trip happen.

Not specifically with the outfitter you named, but you might check out the Africa Hunting site. Lots of info there about auction hunts that might help you.

I spent some time with Johann a couple of times when he was stateside on vacation and doing outdoor shows. No experience hunting with him but he seemed to be a nice stand up guy. Had some friends who hunted with them and had a great trip.

Do a bit of research on Africa hunting forum. In general, auction hunts aren't praised although they can be great. Outfitters will tend to make up revenue by charging more for add on species or additional day rates. Depending on what you paid for the auction, what you intend to hunt, and for how many days, it may be cheaper to get a custom quote from several of the site sponsors over there who are vetted.

*I am not familiar with that outfitter, although a quick search shows some reviews on AH forum.

Take a good camera with a zoom lens along with your phone.
