Advice on sticking with scope I own, or buying new one for new mountain gun

I am taking the big target scope off of my 7prc and putting a 3-9x50 on it to take hunting.

I don’t know that I would want a 7 mag to be less than 8.5 pounds finished rifle, but for woods hunting, a big, target style scope is a negative for me.

Thanks for the link to the evaluations and recommendations. Based on that i went with a Tenmile 3-18x44. Switched from Tbac ultra to the magnus SSR for some added recoil reduction and only 3 ozs heavier. The scope and ring swap saved 8.8 ozs and is now more reliable.
