I kill more game solo...and hunt solo a fair amount. I just spent 8 days bowhunting elk solo. I does suck to process and pack the meat yourself....but you get over it. A couple little tricks makes it easier.

And personally I take my time boning these out as one mistake can be deadly.

I have a Zoleo...and leverage Audible books [5 books on this last elk hunt] Those really help when you have 3 long packouts with a heavy pack...well 6 if you count the in and out. Grin
Anything special about that pulley? I could have used some on my last hunt.

It's one of those cheapie light Carabiner with a screen door wheel- all bought at Home Depot. The weight rating for the whole system- biner and cheap paracord- is about 160#.

I've used it a few times now and dumped the wheel part as it wasn't much different than the carabiner by itself. I do like the system for many purposes such as a third hand to hold legs and such or to keep critters from sliding down the hill.

Its not something one guy can use to hoist a whole critter off the ground to work on...unless it's something like a Coues deer. The single biner just doesn't create enough mechanical advantage to lift a heavy critter.

A guy could probably rig a system with 2 carabiners and the 550 cord that would get more lifting capacity....I don't bother with that keeping it simple, compact and light.
