Adding external 1.5l water bottle sleeve.

I would like to add an external 1.5l water bottle sleeve to my 1800 ultra bag. Is this something I just put in front of a local seamstress with the bag and bottle? Would it be a bad idea? It’s more of an itch I want to scratch for fast access day hunts so “don’t do it” is cool.

I’m assuming I should order the fabric ahead of time but I’m open to suggestions there. “Matching” fabric material or fleece/neoprene for some insulation may be nice.

Are there any molle attachments? Could find a mil surp pocket to hook on?

Use “Tweave” or a similar stretch nylon is my suggestion. Rockywoods has it and another fabric that is similar.

Pay for shipping and I have some black if you want it.

If you search for Tweave stretch nylon you will find similar fabric from other places with other colors.

That’s an easy ask for a good seamstress.

Good to know and I appreciate the offer. I'll probably just order direct as my dad has the same pack we may be modifying.

One thing I just realized is I will probably integrate/extend the current water bottle holder to securely accommodate 1.5l on the other side (opposite the rifle). That should be easy right?

Maybe a mesh stuff bag, tripod or trekking pole holder could be implemented with that fabric you mentioned on the original side.
