Any good light AA headlamps? I do not want rechargeable or triple a batteries.

I’ve not used it but Fenix has one. I have a Fenix lamp and it’s great.

Rechargeable is the way.

An 18650 battery that you can charge with your phone cord lasts longer and shines brighter.

The Sofirn ones are like $15 and beat anything I have used from Black Diamond or similar.

Thanks! Rechargeable was my other option since I typically take a 10000 mah power bank with me and never use half energy in it.

The thing I like about rechargeable is you can top off the battery quickly and easy. Always heading out with a full charge is a good feeling if you have ever had a battery one die at night in the timber. Finding and installing your spare battery in the dark can be a PITA.

Yikes. I never heard of 18650s until now. I need to keep on top of things better!

I tend toward minimalism and still prefer battery powered. I don’t like having to keep track of battery banks, cords etc. Two headlamps and a set of spare batteries and I won’t be left hanging in the dark with a battery in need of charging. In camp at night I have enough to do getting fed, organizing and keeping my phone up let alone all the other electronics and do-dads that guys are screwing around with these days.

Good point, if it dies when hiking in the dark I am screwed.

Unless you are really cutting weight 2 headlamps is a no brainer. Rechargeable or battery. Usually easier to grab your spare than anything else. Plus a charger or spare batteries do not help if your headlamp breaks.

Not much more quick, reliable or easy than carrying two aaa headlamps and one spare set of battery’s.
Save the power for the phone.
