Anyone have any experience loading these bullets for the 6 ARC? Drastic temp swings here so I’m trying to stay away from the temp sensitive powders.

I just loaded a bunch for my M1500 using varget and ill be testing them soon. .050 off the lands and everything from book max (28.5gr for bolt gun) down to 27.6 was a compressed load. I plan on starting with the lighter charges to look for pressure signs.

Niiiice, I have some varget I’ll give a shot. Also have some IMR 8208XBR I thought might work well. Wonder if anyone have tried that combination yet.
Curious of what velocities you end up with?

I was really hoping the 95lrx would be my projectile for my Howa Mini 6arc, and I spent a ton of time trying to get it to hit the velocity I was after and group well. Unfortunately, I never quite got what I was after. But I do have some data to share. This was with a 19" Carbon6 barrel, Hornady brass, CCI400, Leverevolution. Looked like a node in the 30-31gn range, upper 2800fps. With TAC it was in the mid 2800s in the 28.5 range, Varget grouped the best, but was off pace, low 2700s at around 27.5gn. For reference, this gun shoots cloverleafs with the 87 Absolute Hammer at 3000fps with Starline brass.

The best grouping I got was at 28.2 avg FPS was 2752. Zeroed at 25y and max PBR is 298y. It’s perfect for the place I hunt and requires zero elevation adjustment to 300y (confirmed on an 8” gong).

I still want to see what I can get with the leverevolution or see if I can keep the consistency with a load over book max. I didn’t see any pressure signs at book max so I may be able to eke out a little more.

Vortex Ryan M, using Howa Mini Action with 8208 pushing almost 2900. Taken antelope and deer with it at 300. Antelope was HARD quartering away. Through the rump, out the neck and he sat the dirt splash.

I just messed with the 80TTSX and 95gr LRX this past weekend. In an 18” gas gun the highest I got with 95 LRX and max load of LVR was 2770 with really good accuracy. With the 80TTSX I got 2945 with 31.0gr LVR. These were shot at 84 degrees. I have cold temp data for the same powder and different bullets. The reason I use LVR is I want as much speed as possible in an 18” gas gun. Sorry I can’t help with specifics for OP just wanted to add what I could.

Ryan from vortex wouldn’t give his load but said it’s less than 30 grains and going 2880 out of his 22” barrel.

Switch to AA2520. Faster. Cleaner. 😉

The load that works in my Howa Mini 20" uses 32 gr LVR, F205M, Starline brass at 2850 with the 95LRX. I did coat the bullets with HBN.
Gained 150 fps with 87AH and additional .3 gr.

I'm in the same boat as you, same gun and all. If you haven't already try CFE223 & AR-Comp as I found some luck there but Im still searching. Vittima N140, Stilball Match, Shooter World Precision are on my radar as well.
