95 TMKs are in stock!!!

I asked for h4350 and CCI 200 primers if they had them. And requested between 40-42 grains with their recommendation for OAL around (assuming around 2.8).

I’ve seen some load data elsewhere with TMKs so I used it as a reference but I could be wrong. I may have seen a load @Formidilosus posted somewhere.

I’ve had loaded ammo from them in the past so I trust they get it right. But to your point, I’m not sure how they will shoot in the 1:8
The 8tw will work just fine, I ran them in a 7tw 18in 6cm up to 3300 with rl15.5. Id think if the ammo has very consistent charge weight, consistent neck tension and consistent seating depth(sierras usually do very well 20-30 off touch) accuracy would hopefully be acceptable. I know most their proven loads for sale have been tested in multiple barrels for consistent performance. This combination of case/bullet is far from common, but I could see it becoming a popular combo with the 8tw Tikka 243 now being available everywhere.

This is a great data point. I’m about to get my hands on a 16.5” tikka 243 and was hoping to get 2800 FPS with the 95 TMK. From this it seems even 2850 could be reasonable.

Going to try H4350 and SC4831 since I have both on hand. Hopefully one of them shoots!

Those 20% off codes have never worked for me in the past (maybe it's a new vs established account thing?)... solid price on the TMKs though!

I shot some in the 21" 6gt yesterday, short bearing bullet so tested 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 jump. 50 was 3 shotd at 0.31", running 3k fps with 35.5gr RL15.5, gonna load some different powder charges and test at distance with the 50k jump.

Will test H4350 as well and see if some more velocity is on the table.

6mm. IF i continue this project i bought some 95 gr tmk to load in a tikka 243. but im having some serious reservations now that im reading some threads here.

About what? 243 with its short throat is perfect for the 95tmk, as they have a really short bearing surface. H4350 would be a great powder for that combo. Varg/8208 likely too fast to get the most out of the case capacity offered by the 243. They'd be more in line wirh BR variants.

I have H4350 and H1000 and my buddy just gave me some 6.5 Staball and Staball HD to try too. I'm loading 6cm.

Glad we're finally getting to the loading part versus the hoarding part.

I sent my barrel to be nitride treated. I should be in the game in a couple weeks.

What have you read about the 243 that worries you? I know two people having great success with 95 TMK in a 243. One of them has the older 1:10 twist barrel and it stabilizes them just fine at our altitude, she just dropped a cow elk with the 95 TMK today and the damage was impressive!

I just built a 16.5” 243 myself as I couldn’t pass up the recent close out sale + rebate. I’ll be starting with a load of 95 TMK behind either H4350 or H4831SC. The other two people I referenced have had good results with H4350.

No go to loads for a bullet that has been extinct for last near half decade........but I'd gather 43gr H4350 with the sierra 20-30k off the lands prob shoots sub moa.
