Anyone shoot them in an 8 twist?

What have we decided the G1 B.C. of the 88 trues at?
Sierra lists it as a .525.

I haven’t shot any yet but have some on the way, and am pretty excited for them. That said, my eye-crometer (and reports from a friend) tells me that number is likely optimistic. I hope it isn’t!

88 TMK - 25.0 of N150, Fed 205, ADI Brass. 2.55 OAL.

Fired the first 5 rounds of this load at 100.
Adjusted Right .3 and Up .1
Sent 3 into the 1/2” sticker.
Avg velocity of those 8 rounds was 2686 fps.
Entered into Revic app and used a G1 of .525
Density altitude of 3,000 ft. 12f

Ranged a basketball size snow patch on a rock face at 720 yards. Dialed 5.3 mil.
First round hit.

Ranged a similar size snow patch at 792 yards. Dialed 6.4 mil.
First round hit.

Testing the NAS3 cases next week that have appx 2 more grains capacity. 2800 fps is realistic I believe from this 16” 223.
Why am I even building a 6 CM when I can get this performance out of the 88 TMK’s, as well as training with ADI 55’s from the same gun? 700 yards is the absolute max I’d shoot at a sheep/goat/deer, and this is still at 1750 fps at that range at 5k DA.

Yep that seals it. Been debating on barrel length as I transition my 16.5 1:8 22CM to a 1:7 22GT. 16” it is!

88’s 2.6” is optimally loaded in the .223. What action/bottom metal/mags offer the most stress free reliable cycling for that?

Loaded up the 88s with h1000, h4350 and magpro tonight and shot groups in the dark with a spotlight because it just couldn't wait for morning.

22 Creedmoor.

Here's 43gr H1000. 2718fps. 18" barrel.

DA is probably around -75 w/ warming since I shot the first group and the wind is picking up and gusting.

My election sign target was flapping and my reflex and suppressor were loose too. Still gotta good group. Lower right on the dot. The other group is from the prior post (Staball HD).

I chose 43gr off the "MAX Load" from that chart someone shared from Sierra recommendation but I don't have pressure so I'm going to juice it up to 2775fps and shoot 40 or so to check them for flat primers and bolt lift and roll with it.

That’s kinda’ wild that both powders are so slow.

I shot 88 ELDMs over 2900 in a 19” 22-250 with H4350.

Seems like you have another 300fps left on the bone there, no?
