I did but the 150 Eldx was a dud. Honestly the only thing I could get to shoot worth a darn was the 120gr Barnes TTSX. The throat is a mile long so I figured I’d try Barnes knowing they can handle a lot of jump. I need to try a few more things and I’ll circle back around to the 150’s. The barrel is full length bedded so I will remove that and try some more cup and core bulletsDid you ever end up running 565 with the 150s? I also have an 80s Japanese MKV that I have had a heck of a time reloading for and came across this post
Bummer to hear that. This weatherby was passed down from my grandfather before he passed. He used it for elk for years, always said it shot very well. I have never been able to get more than 2 rounds to group with an inch without the third throwing by 2-3". No matter how long I let the barrel cool. The only factory loading I have never tried is the 150 Scirocco, and I struggle paying $100 for something that may again be a dud. I will have to try the TTSX, however I was really hoping to shoot something higher BC'd that actually would surpass my short 6.5 PRC. I'm sure that 120 is pretty damn flat to 400 though.I did but the 150 Eldx was a dud. Honestly the only thing I could get to shoot worth a darn was the 120gr Barnes TTSX.
