Nothing meaningful. I didn’t put enough on paper to really mean much.I have since started building some different rounds with the 160 lrx’s.

Any updates on how your 160gr LRXs worked out? Curious what velocities you achieved and accuracies.

I have been sitting between 3050 and 3090 with about 70.7g h1000. I’m still struggling with accuracy.

Have you gone down the rabbit hole of mono bullet nuances with reloading? Deep cleaning the barrel before testing, waiting a bit longer between shots as the barrel heats up a bit more, seating 0.05” off the lands as these Barnes bullets like to jump a bit?

With the 168gr LRX in .308 I had really good accuracy with a 46.1gr charge of CFE223 and then my groups got a little unwieldy. Was about to call it quits and just load up some at that charge. But after reading about the barrel cleaning and the seating depth, I’m going to ladder test again starting at 46.1, but with a barrel cleaned with sharp shoot r wipe-out and seating specifically 0.05” off the lands.

Can’t test until next week, but I’ll report back if that tightened things up and got me to a higher charge/velo.

I’m interested in your results as I get my 7prc in 2 weeks.

I did clean the barrel pretty well. I think my headspacing was possibly more than where I should be so I’m trying to correct that. Once I obtain .002” for my headspace i will try again to rule that out.

I am surprised you got a heavy bolt lift at 72 grains. I run 73.3 grains of N570 behind the 175 TSX. The TSX is shorter by .078". My COAL is 3.215". I originally began at 3.20", but the throat has eroded some after 800+ rounds. Did you try seating the bullets farther to get more space off the lands?
