7mm-08 users, what are your loads for elk?

Great down range performance in my experience too. Better than the Creedmoor with 147s and nearly the same bc. We've killed bulls 600+ with them and acted like they were kit with thors hammer.

Can you guys PM me with your loads? I will work up in my gun but would use your info as guardrails.

I have a load with xbr 8208 and 162s but I dont really trust that powder close to max pressure. Trying H4350 but wasnt able to get to 2750. I have Varget on hand to try next.

Go with varget. 20 thou off the lands. Start below max and work a ladder test up until you hit pressure and back off a half or full grain.
