Hawkins makes their Hybrid rings that fit the Falkor, if your scope setup allows that is the way for a hunting rifle IMO. I have two more LW7’s I’m building now.
I’d rather run a pic rail for ease of scope swapping. Have had plenty of guns for people I’ve shot and they swore something was wrong with the gun, with pic rail I throw one of my scopes on and prove it was cheap rings/their scope was the problem. Although I don’t need another action, I foresee myself trying one of theirs out.

Do any of these actions listed in the thread lock the bolt? I never really thought of this being an issue but my buddy hunts with a Proof rifle, and his bolt opened inadvertently many times during carry, ejecting a round and letting snow in.

I think I’m just going to stick with building another Tikka, but am curious.

Since I have the m5 floor plate and magazine I would prefer to use it since that wasn’t cheap. I guess I will reach out to the companies and see which are compatible.

I was thinking of making it my wife’s rifle since the Trekker is pretty light at 31oz. Couple it with a 16-18” fluted barrel in 22 or 6mm Dasher or something like that, suppressed of course. She’s very recoil averse from a shoulder surgery due to a car accident. I think having the BDL style, specifically not dumping a mag on accident or ease of loading, may be a benefit in this use case… at least that’s my justification right now.
I have an M5 detachable bottom metal I’ll trade you if you’d like. Have Hawkins short action and Christensen CIP long action. If short action is what you need, I’ll throw in a magazine as well.
