7 SAW vs vanilla 7mm-08

I have both the 7mm SAW and 7-08. Both shoot great with 162 ELDX and Varget. SAW shoots 110 fps faster than 7-08, both using 20” Bartlein barrels and 162 ELDX (2750 vs 2640).

Having WTO spin up a new 7-08 barrel for my new Tikka switchbarrel platform with 18” length. Might drop down to 150 ELDX and give BIG Game powder a try to keep my velocity up.

Staball 6.5 too

I have a 7mm-08 with an 18" bartlein throated to seat 150s at the junction. I seat 150s at 2.96 OAL with Hawkins extended DBM. I get low 2700s with Staball and Big Game. For some reason Staball has given a better SDs.

I see no benefit of the 162 to the 150.
