Im the process of ordering a 7 Saum reamer for 180 class bullets. And looking at a .185 free bore with a .3185 neck diameter. My Smith thinks that might be a little tight on the neck diameter and to maybe go SAAMI of .3220. Any experiences or feedback?

Can’t help you with the dimensions you are looking for but load up a couple dummy rounds using the bullets you want to run and have the reamer maker build it using those.

I just did this on a 264 Win Mag Ackley Improved and it is spot on.

.185" free bore must mean you are running a SA with a Wyatts box or detach mag with 2.995" internals? As for the neck diameter, buy enough brass to last the barrel or several barrels since you'll own the reamer, and get to measuring.... Allow .002" minimum neck clearance on your reamer if it's quality brass or .005" for less than, and prepare to turn necks for concentricity.
