Thinking of a new build in 7 Saum, looking for experience with them the good and the bad

So many good threads over the past couple years. I love mine! Stay away from Oregon mountain rifles and you’ll most likely be good! 😉

I'd stock up on brass and components before I sunk a dime into a 7 SAUM build at this point. Great cartridge if you can feed it.
100% this. Be on the lookout and grab brass whenever you can. I have a 18in SAUM and absolutely love it. For longer barrel heavy bullets, RL26 seems to be one of the more sought after powders. For shorter barrels, I've had good luck with 4831SC and 150 Bergers.

Great cartridge but brass is difficult to get ahold of. Rl23 shines as does RL26 with the heavies. The Berger 175 EH and 180 hybrid pair well with the 7 SAUM
