Ive been looking for some load reference points for the 7 saum and barnes 145gr lrx but haven’t had much luck. The barnes load data sheet for the saum is circa 2007 so it doesn’t have any updated information for the mono bullets or newer powders.

Im running a medium length action and have h1000, n560, and h4831sc powders on hand. Does anyone have load data they can share?

I shoot the 145 lrx out of my SAUM with 57.0g and get on average 3050fps. It is a short action. I basically used a regression line based on the 140 and 150 and plugged in 145 for the grain weight. If you figure out using VV N560, let me know as I would be interested. One point of reference for hammers is on this link.

What powder are you using? I will report my findings as soon as I get them.

I was using H4831sc, ADG brass, 215 primers in a 24" proof barrel getting 3180 fps with those 145gr LRX, had them loaded out to max box length. . I will have to check my data but I believe I settle on 62.0 gr, HOWEVER I did have obvious PREASURE signs!!!! primers were flat as a pancake, slight ejector mark, I have changed things up since but it shot great. You would be fine starting at 56.0 grains and working up to find the pressure for your rifle/chamber/barrel.

Have you looked at Hodgden's data? It does not give LRX data but does have loads for a 145 HPBT. The data gives you a good ball park to start. H4350 and H4381 provided virtually the same MV. As you said, Barnes data is not updated at all for the 7SAUM. In either case there is some guess work involved which is never fun in reloading. The two powders I listed are great powder and would think you could work up a good load with either one. I do not know if QuickLoad would be a good source for data. Do you know anyone that has that software?
