7 PRC load

I’m shooting 7PRC, 180gn Berger HT.
4831SC shoots beautifully!
However 2930 is what I’m getting with 65 grains and a 26” barrel.

I don’t know how it would be possible to get close to 2900 with a 20” barrel.

Shooting 180 bergers over 68.5 of n165. Running avg of 2930 with single digit SDs over multiple 5 and 7 shot groups.

2780 FPS. Shoots well but I may back it off a bit. Velocity’s are all over the place with the cartridge so not sure where I should be. Anyone gotten their hands on the new Hornady manual? Curious what they list the 7 PRC at min/max.

How in the world did you get 2900 with H4831 out of a 20” barrel

I’m pushing close to 2900 with 175’a in my 18”. Loading long and 65.5 grains of 4831. I doubt I got lucky with a magic barrel just tuning like every other cartridge. 2 elk and 3 mule deer so far with this setup, so far so good

Incredible ! I’m getting 2950 with a 26” barrel.
Can I ask what brass and primer you are using?

I'm getting 2990 from a 24", 195's, and N570.
I was happier than a pig in slop when I saw that.

No pressure issues with the nosler 175ABLR’s. My buddy runs this same combo with 180ELDM and has nearly identical results.

Max per ed.12 manual is 64.9gr H1000 for 180gr bullet at 2850 fps. Min is 58.2 at 2600 fps. 24" barrel specified.

I load for two 7 PRC’s, both like N170 & Retumbo really well.
