7/16x28 thread adapter for OG suppressors

Earlier this week I did reach out to Chris at Unknown and he did echo the responses in this thread. Last night I took a dremel to the corners of my thread adapter. It's not pretty but functional. I don't have rockset yet so things were not threaded together to prevent any mishaps. Once I quit spending money on so much other junk for this goat hunt I'll get an OG30 ordered. This rifle will get my S2H scope once it shows up.

Couple UM adapters and one tool arrived yesterday. Very nice.

Learning experience. Stainless mini 6.5 20"....is 1/2-20.... Ouch. I just assumed...

There's a couple other rifles the adapters can be put to use on, but that one was my first choice.

You can 100% make them.

I can break them (at middle of thread tolerancing) with two fingers and a normal 3/8" drive that's 6" long.

A 9/16-24 internal thread has a major internal diameter *minimum* (that's the thread depth maximum) of .5625".

A 5/8-24 external thread has a thread major (minimum diameter the thread tool would theoretically cut to) of .565" - .578".

If you ran the 9/16 at max, and the 5/8 at the minimum you would end up with an external thread, and an internal thread, separate from one another. You can run them at a minimum and max that they stay together in one piece. But I'm not making something I wouldn't use myself.
you are of course spot on about careful tolerancing, and in fact was concerned myself with how they would work out. But now I've been using that Precision Armament 9/16 to 5/8 adapter on 3 rifle barrels. They have it figured out

Once on the muzzle the material is supported by the muzzle threads. So the level of torque we are talking about is a nonissue

Not suggesting you should make them, since somebody else already does. And there's no way I would bother making them for as little as what PA charges
