18” OMR tikka prefit
Tikka T1x cheek riser stock
T3x action
4-32 NX8
Sico omega 300

Originally threw this build in a chassis, but got bored and opened up the barrel channel on this T1X stock, fully floated and incredibly nice feel. Simple. Will add the tikka vertical grip mod and send it this season.

Comes in at 9.4Lbs as pictured

Is 1800fps the min of what folks want with the 115 DTAC? I know that’s considered the min expansion velocity with eldm/eldx bullets. I have a nearly identical setup coming with a 18” PPB, and I currently have some 103gr but the BC is a little low. The 115 DTAC sure looks better on the calculator, so I might try them.

I’ve been looking at a 6 creed build, I just want to figure out which barrel to use that is close to the factory contour/weight and somewhere between 18-20”. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the 6.5 PRC I have, but something about shooting that 6mm creed is fantastic. I used to have a seekins in 6 creed and it was a tack driver and just fun to shoot.

I would have to defer to somebody like Form or Ryan on that. I want to say I recall that the 115 DTAC NR might want more velocity for expansion.

I always just use 1800 as sort of an Arbitrary number. Realistically I would limit myself to 700 and under with this rifle, for no other reason than that being my comfort zone.

looks like a good setup.

for comparison and data sake, mine cut to 19” shoots the 115 DTAC at 2830fps now. Makes for a pretty handy rifle that carries 1800fps beyond a thousand yards.

Can you post your ballistics calculation? My 6CM with 108’s going 2950 hits 1800 at 725y and hits 1800 with 115 VLDH at the same 725y but started at 2850.

I've been trying to make a leap to the 6cm, heard they are great to shoot but barrel life is a draw back. Any experience with this? Or would keeping the barrel shorter extended the life?

@bowrunner81,
Also consider the 112 Barnes Match Burner. BC is about the same as the 115. Easy to source, and I’ve been told it’s very forgiving for loading.
