Better to build by yourself or use a good gunsmith with quality parts. I bought an Odin upper for $1,000. It went back for warranty. It was very under gassed, even with suppressor and gas block fully open. They also changed the slick upper to a forged upper.
When it came back, it had same gas problem and worse accuracy. I contacted them again and they said no. I decided to take it apart myself and send to gunsmith.
When I took it apart, I found the barrel nut was only hand tight. I sent it to a gunsmith to open the gas port and assemble it correctly and replace handguard because it their was flimsy and sometimes touched the gas block.Cost was $100. Now it works and shoots 1–1.25 inch 10-shot groups.

When I decided on length, my upper is 18”. I use all available information and recommendations for. But learn in my area of hunting and great 6arc ballistics 12.5” would be more than enough.

I’ve one 6ARC uppers, two I’ve built, all were gas guns.

The one I owned was a Wilson combat 18” upper. Shot great, was accurate, but it was a heavy rig.

The first one I built was an 18” BA barrel in an Aero Precision set up. Also shot pretty good.

The last one I built is a 14.5” proof research inside a BCM rail/upper. That dude shoots wicked good. It belongs to a buddy and he is having fantastic results with his reloading setup he’s using.

Talking heavy my set up is 9.3lb without supressor. It’s weight 1.3lb more than same set up bolt gun with 20” 6.5creed

The rifle Justin mentioned is 10lbs 6oz fully loaded for the field. ARs themselves are inherently heavy compared to a bolt gun. Generally all metal parts with very little composite materials. I find the extra weight aids in shoot-ability and recoil. To me a 10lb rifle isn’t unwieldy or cumbersome to carry all day in rough terrain. But it’s probably not for everyone.

what velocity are you getting in the 18 inch barrel?

108 is averaging 2514 through about 40 rounds with SDs staying in that 17 range.
103 is averaging 2525 also through 40 rounds with SDs staying around 23.

I just picked up a new lot of 108s so I will see how that compares to the old lot in a few days.

I'll also add that I had a 14.5" 223 wylde that out shoots my typical gas gun ability. It absolutely stacks Hornady Black 75gr BTHP! Sold it to a buddy, kinda wish I hadn't. Never chrono'd that rifle so I can't speak to speeds on it.

Both rifles were completely factory other than my addition of a suppressor. DA Lazarus 6 on the 6 ARC and DA Sandman-X on the 223 wylde. Gas blocks are tuned at the factory and non adj. I didn't change them out. Ejection patterns were very consistent, rifles seem to cycle extremely smooth to the point I never felt any adjusting or swapping of parts was needed.

what velocity are you getting in the 18 inch barrel?

Not sure if you noticed, but Saami spec for 6 arc gas gun is a 18” barrel. So box speeds should be what you get. Now they did go to 24” for bolt loads. Makes the speed difference quite a bit more between bolt and gas than the pressure alone would suggest.
