Build is as follows:
- Howa Mini Action
- 16.5" 1:7 twist made by Preffered Barrels chambered in 6mm ARC
- Jefferson Bottom Metal
- Outter Impact pic rail
- Ruffs Precision Rings
- Banish Backcountry supressor using a radial brake plan B mount. Which might get swapped to a AB Raptor 6 5.56 (they are bored to 6mm)
- Stock: Stocky Stock Carbon Fiber
- Optic: Leupold Mark 4 HD 2.5-10

Total weight is 7.9lbs but I might add about 6-8 ounces in the back of the stock the balance the rifle a little better. Can't wait to see how she shoots.

Nice.

No Howa Minis for me - I'm wrong handed.

I am contemplating a 6 ARC upper; just haven't decided how precision it's going to be.

Looks nice. What contour is that barrel? Looks to be about perfect. I'd be interested to see what velocities you get from it.

Did your factory barrel give you problems and make ya switch to a prefit? My 6 arc barrel seems to shoot pretty well but it is definitely a slow barrel ( like all other howas ive had)
My handloaded 108s top out right around factory 108's from a 16" ar with less than 100 rds down the barrel. To be honest the velocity from factory barrel is probably fine, but I have been thinking of a prefit. Just because, what if?

The contour is a #3 sporter but the factory barrel never gave me problems but I only have like 20 rounds down it. This rifle was always going to be a short bolt rifle and I really wanted a 1:7 twist. I'm hoping I can push 108s around 2550-2600 fps. I got over 1000 106 grain TAP that I am hoping I can get around 2650 with reloads.

That's what my factory 20" pushes the 108s at with varget. I hope you can get there! If so I may be ordering one up.

In about two weeks, I'll be shooting this. So I'll post up my factory load velocities just to give an idea for ya if it is worth it or not.

I couldn't get 106 TAPs to shoot in my 6ARC...Moved to 105 Hybrids - with H4895 - getting accuracy and 2750 FPS from a 20" barrel.

I sure hope I can get these to shoot well. I called Hornady and they told me the minimum expansion velocity for the 106 TAPs is 1600 fps. With a .580 GI BC, If I can get them to shoot well with a MV around 2600 fps, that should give me a 500 yard deer rifle here at sea level and keeping my impacts at 1800 fps or higher. The goal is to hopefully try these TAPs on whitetail this year, then take it for Mule deer and Spring Black Bear.

Using the Howa trigger? Out of curiosity why not use the Howa barrel and cut it?

Gotcha. What bipod is that?
Its a Spartan Bipod with tricer legs. It allows you to use your shooting sticks as a bipod (see picture of my model 70 below). Now I have the Tricer-RP (last few pictures with the Mini) on the Hoaa Mini but will be swapping out the mounting attachment to a permanent Wiser Precision arca/swivel stud mount.

Rifle and scope package is awesome. Look forward to results.

That's awesome. Waiting on an ejector from legacy and then I'll know if I need a new barrel or not.
