6mm ARC went to work the last two day.
Bullet used 108 ELDMs.
-Buck was a frontal shot at 240 yards. He was DRT the moment the bullet hit him. Impact velocity 2169 fps
-First doe was a broadside with a slight 1/4 away shot at 63 yards. She ran 30 or so yards. Left a good blood trail. Impact velocity 2433 fps
-Second doe was a broadside, slight 1/4 too, bullet entered behind the shoulder, went out the liver area, shot at 200 yards. Impact velocity was 2228 fps. Deer stumble 15 or so yards.
All broadside shots exited

The only terminal performance pictures I got were form the first doe. She was 105lbs.
-First Double Picture shows where the bullet hit and exited
-Second Double picture is the lungs. They were absolutely wrecked.
-Third Double picture is inside the cavity.

Sure love that little cartridge!

Congratulations on a great weekend! Looks like you made it count!

Running a gasser or a bolt gun?
Thank you and I'm starting to love this too. It was nice watching the deer through the scope as the bullet impacted but It's a bolt gun.
Ruger American in a CF stock or something else? Looks like it worked as advertised!
It's a Howa Mini with a prefit barrel in a CF stock
Great work my man
Thank you sir.

Great work! The 6 ARC has become one of my favorite rounds this year--I really like your setup. Is it an SBR or is that an OTB suppressor? That barrel looks crazy short.

It's a 16.5" barrel with a OTB suppressor. The can is a UM OGL. The Rockslide cult got to me but overall a good can on this rifle. I haven't shot it on any bigger cartridges so I can't give you any input there.

What MV are you getting with factory 108’s? I have a 17” barrel coming, so looking forward to getting a 6 arc into action… just worried it might quickly become the chosen one 1️⃣ haha and it’s not a tikka haha tikka needs to make a more affordable bolt; or heck just produce a factory option, yet everyone is still waiting on the factory 6cm from them…

Keep in mind this is a 1:7 twist barrel that was lapped (not sure the true affect on this with MV) but this is what I have for the following.

All factory ammo.
108 ELDM
2530 AVG

Druid Hill 92 MKZ
2665 AVG

106 TAP
2634 AVG

103 Precision Hunter
2575 AVG

105 Hornady BTHP
2520 AVG

Now when I get off my lazy but and reload. With Alphas brass and RL15.5 I can probably push those 108s in the 2600s and the 106/105/103s s in the 2700s. I'll eventually load the 109 eldm and the 106 TAP.

I would not plan on getting 103+ into the 2700s with a 16.5" 6 ARC.

What do you say that? I know of an individual that pushed 110 A-Tips with RL15.5 from an 18" gas gun and he was getting 2620 with zero pressure signs.

106s are already pushing 2630 with factory ammo and that's around 52,000 PSI vs the 62,000 PSI. Using brass like Alpha, I'm sure I could get to 68k before I truly start seeing pressure signs. I don't see 2700 fps with 106s unattainable unless there is something I do not know.

I'm just extrapolating from other cartridges. That seems like where I'd expect a Dasher to land with that length barrel and a Dasher is a decent step up from a ARC.

Is the TAP an amax?

The 106 TAP is more like an ELDx. Thicker jacket in the back, interlock ring a little further forward on the bullet than eldx. Made to have better performance through barriers. Hasn't been commercially offered as a component bullet far as I know but midway sold a pile of 2nds for cheap.

Kind of goldilocks in weight, BC, terminal performance IMO but the 2nds at least haven't proven to shoot as tight as ELDms.

I'm pushing 2800fps in my 16" Proof with the 103 ELD-X and max book load of Leverevolution, but it shows some spice at times. I would think that Alpha brass might be able to handle pressures better than Hornady, but that's just speculation.

Tap doesn't have an interlock ring. Even the base of the bullet is not near as thick as the ELDX. It seems to be a bullet that falls between the ELDM and the ELDX.

Thats the consensus I have gathered from everyone I know that likes to load spicy rounds. Don't even mess with Hornady and get Alpha.
