6mm 112 Match Burners

I have only loaded 105 gr Match Burners in a 6XC and 120gr in a 6,5x57R. Both very accurate so I ordered their 112gr and 145gr but ahve not tried them yet.
I have tested both in roe deer, so far shooting four does with the 6XC from 270 to 470 meters, and 2 bucks with the 6,5 at 110 and 220 meters.
Got exits on all but the last buck, the one on the photo.
In all cases expansion started inmediately, withouth the "neck" so common with Bergers, and was good all the way to the exit producing extensive damage all along the bullet's path.
I will taking the 120gr to Namibia next month on a cull hunt, which will give me the opportunity to test them throroughly.

I know absolutely nothing about what I'm assuming is a roe deer... but judging by the bases on this specimen I'd say it's an absolute beast... congrats!

I played around with some in my 6CM. They shot very well and were easy to load.

Once I run through the last of my ELD Ms I'll probably buy a bunch. Its hard not to like the price.

Do the 105 perform on game?

Going to order a few different bullets to try in a 6arc and would prefer something cheaper than the eld-m.

The 112 does. It’s pretty violent so I’d keep it off the shoulder inside maybe 400 ish yards. I’d run the 112 if I was you. The massive gain in bc will far outweigh the 50 or so fps you’ll gain with the 105

Yes, they do.

I have shot four does with them in my 6XC from 270 to 470 meters.
Got exits on all four.

That has been my experience so far.

The base to ogive is all over the place but in my 6 arc they do ok. Not great, won't even use in my dasher.

What’s your load in the arc? I have a box showing up this week to try.

Have varget, n140, staball match, and a few lbs here/there of some misc others.

Thinking of trying to load them with match?

Don’t think it’s twist rate, as they are an 8 twist bullet
Idk what else it would be they had some erratic behavior I posted about it in another thread and several suspected the stabilization

Notice a decent group then a few wild shots

Applied Ballistics indicates they need 7.25 twist at sea level to be "fully stable". Not a bullet i'd try in a 8 twist at modest velocities/low elevation.

I just returned from Namibia where I tested the 120gr 6,5mm Match Burners. I killed 36 Springboks with them from 180 to 515 meters.

Muzzle speed from my 6,5x57R was 2,930 fps using a load of IMR 4451 and BR2 primers.
They were absolutely devastating with expansion starting immediately with almost no "neck".
I only got about 1/3 of pass throughs, all of them when shooting distance was 320 meters or higher.
For my taste, expansion cavity and tissue damage was a bit shallow, perfectly adequate for animals this size, though.
