6GT on a Tikka

My t3x 22GT has fed 100% from a MDT 3rd poly aics mag and factory 3rd tikka m mags. Not 100% on coal but I believe it’s around 2.50” with 80 eld’s.

It will be early summer but I will have a Tikka CTR in 6 GT. I know of a couple people that run 6 Dasher and 6 GT in CTR mags with no issue. Another mentioned some feeding problems.

I have 200 rounds through my tikka rebarreled to 22 GT now, very occasionally have a feed issue with the “M” magazine that came with the factory 6.5 CM barrel, somewhere I read someone suggested an “SM” short mag magazine and have had zero issues since then, maybe 150-160 of the 200 total have been since I switched to the “SM” magazine.

The 6.5CM should come with an M+ mag; M mag would be 308 family. Can you double check and let us know regarding the feeding issue magazine please? Thank you

That’s correc, it is an “M+” magazine that I was having issues with, didn’t realize the + indicated a different magazine. The “SM” mags let the cases sit a bit higher into the action best I can tell, but no issues since switching.

Yep if I have issues with CTR mag, I’ll just get an Echo chassis, mag retention spring and run the 3 round mag. Honestly might do this regardless cause I like flush mags on hunting rifles.

A couple. A ctr and a t3x. The t3x was a 6.5 creed i had a barrel installed on and currently in a B&C stock with the plastic bottom. The 6.5 creed magazine feeds great but single feeding is hit or miss it seems. The ctr feeds flawless from the magazine or single feeding.
