6CM vs 7-08

I have both 6CM and 7-08 in lightweight hunting rigs. I love them both. I definitely take the 7-08 hunting more often, but that’s mainly just personal preference. I’ve taken elk with the 7-08 and likely wouldn’t take the 6CM on that hunt. The 6CM is a bit more attractive for pronghorn. Toss up for deer.

No bad choice with those two.

I have both, Ruger Gen II 6mm cm and Browning Hells canyon speed. 150's out of the 7mm 08 and 103 and 100's out of the ruger. Both suppressed under 8-1/2 lbs. Toss up for sure. To me the 6cm is like a 223 and the 7mm =243 maybe as far as recoil. Both are killers. Less meat damage with the 7mm-08 Jmho.
