Are any reliable factory loads capable of 1800@600 yards out of a 16 inch barrel or just reloads.
Just double checking my options as I don’t reload, yet anyway!

Anything with high BC should meet that speed parameter. Nosler 115gr RDF is the heaviest factory load I've seen and it will do that at 600 in a 16" barrel...1950fps at 600 in my barrel.

Is the Hornady more consistent now days?
You think when tikka drops some 6cm there will be more options pop up.
I probably won’t get setup to reload till next year so making sure I have some options.
Thanks for the suggestions.

My 18” shooting factory 108 eldms is hitting 1800 around 750 yards. That’s at 5,000 ft where I’m at.
Current lot of ammo is 2,818 MV.

I see Barnes has a 112 OTM too. Anything with a high BC should do it in a 16" gun.

I’m getting pretty consistent speeds from the factory 108ELDM from Hornady. Right around 2825 for me at 2000 feet of elevation. This is from my 20” Tikka 6CM. This carries 1800 out to 700yds.

Long story short, I think there are options of factory ammo out there that will do it for you.

The Berger 108 Elite hunter factory ammo should hit that or get really close. DA is the other factor but you'll be close for sure. I haven't tested the new TMKs but the EH is my favorite hunting bullet for the 6cm after a few seasons with it.
