Necking down in two steps with a bushing die followed by mandrel left me with 4ish thou total indicated runout.

Even if bullet is misaligned, it's going into a freebore diameter that's 001-0015 thou larger than bullet, it'll straighten things out with a bit of force fit if you would. Take one your crooked rounds, chamber it, remeasure, see if it's still same runout after.

Alex Wheeler(one the top smiths in BR world) did a test at 1k yards with a tuned 300wsm rifle that would shoot in the 2s and 3s. Precision and accuracy wasn't affected till the runout was higher than 10 thou total indicated runout.

Has anyone run quickload or any consensus on 570 vs 565? I couldn't figure out how to make a 6 prc in GRT. 116tmk specifically but any of the heavies would be helpful.

Picked up a PBB Tikka pre-fit 6 PRC NSI, 18" Hybrid Lite.

Didn't like 108's or 109's, loves 116's. All below is with 116's unsuppressed, less than 50rds:

55g N565 @ 2854fps - heavy bolt lift
51g RL23 @ 2881 - heavy lift

Settled on:
50g RL23 @ 2820 - <10 SD, all 5 shot groups have been under .75"

I'm 40 off according to comparator. I found increased velocity where I'd expect loading close to the lands.

Ya it is. I wasn’t going for speed, just wanted to see what my gun liked. I have a known load with 108 ELDMs so I knocked off 1grain for the 107-109 and 2 grains for the 115-116 so I didn’t have to worry about pressure.

My 18” does 3050 with 108/112, and think I have some room to move up.

My 20in would run 115s at 3200 with N570. Very top end load. Brass didn't show pressure till weather was not great.

Ahh I see - I was kicking around a hot rod 6 and saw those velocities and I was a bit surprised

My 108s are going 2950 out of my 18” barrel with H1000. My goal was 3000 and I’m very happy with it. I’m still on virgin brass at the moment and didn’t want to do load dev. I can likely get another 100fps out of it and I’ll see what she’s got with 1x brass, but honestly don’t need more than where it’s currently at.
