Just got my 6prc barrel and working some loads. All I have in the ballpark right now is H4350 so gonna try but don't expect great results for speed before pressure as it's a little fast burning. If you guys were getting just one more powder; N565 or N570?

Finally got my dies and bullets. Got some loaded up. Should be able to sneak out to shoot a week from tomorrow. 112 Match Burner over Ramshot Grand and N565. Barrel is 18” 7.5 twist stainless from PBB. Really anxious to see how it shoots! Will be running an A-10 can on it.

Any updates on Grand? Real interested in how it stacks up against N565.

I’ll have some updates here in a few weeks. I was able to do some preliminary shots, but loads were virgin brass, and seemed well below pressure. Going to get 1 firing on my 100 pieces of brass, then do some real load dev.
I do love how well Grand meters.

Grand gets a 100fps more than h1000/n565 in my 22creed and the 6.5prc. Should do the same with the 6cm if you can get enough powder in the case. 6cm has a higher expansion ratio than those cartridges though, meaning it’s less overbore so it might not be ideal for the 6cm. Only one way to find out. Looking forward to Schmo’s results. And I agree that Grand meters really well.

Yeah. I want to get a firing on all my brass, and get 100 rounds or so down the barrel to get it sped up, then I can make a true judgement between powders. I have N565 and Grand, and I think some 4831SC. I know 4831 won’t give as much velocity, but it’s typically accurate. I also have some StaBall HD if that’s even worth playing with

I tried StaBall HD just for fun, didn’t play with it alot just because accuracy wasn’t great in my barrel but velocity wasn’t bad at all. It’s worth trying.

update no one cares about.

1. My stock was a new hybrid design from a small company, a piece inside didn't clear the recoil lug, so its all going back for some milling fitting. (atlas lite)
2. Loaded up some 108's to 2.930 for the smith to check/ream the throat of my PBB. I wanted a bit more space for 109/110/115's as desired and he is covering it based on 1.^ this should give me some really full cases with 105-110 ranges stuff. ( also my chamber was suspect imo so he is inspecting/reviewing)

3. Made my own OAL case gage. took a 6.5 PRC chase, used a .275 bushing and necked down and then ran a 274 mandrel in it. the bullets were snug but needed a little more so I have the mandrel sitting in the case neck. should still chamber but eliminate most neck tension allow for a simpler lands find.

Did you chamfer the case mouth prior to sizing?

I use an SAC shoulder/neck bushing and I absolutely think that aids in the smooth transition with one pass as well based off the integrated tapered design.

Tried PMing you but I can't yet, and maybe this info will help someone else in the future anyway. How many shims are you running in the SAC die for setting the height of the expander mandrel? I've landed at 3 shims based on their tutorial videos, but I see they recommend 2 shims for 6.5 PRC so I'm not sure which to run.

I don’t use the expanding mandrel inside the die. I only use the die for sizing. I mandrel separately.

Have you ever shared your step by step 6PRC loading process with what mandrel / hushing etc. might save you about 5838292 questions. I think I copied your bushing / mandrel size for 108’s previously
