6 Dasher Barrel Life - for hunting

What was your barrel length again? And do you have any velocity numbers? Wanting to be in that 2750 to 2850 range with 103-108s in an 18

16”.

108’s 2700
95’s 2800

Both top end. I think 2750 probably doable with 108’s in 18”, But it will be close.

Which would naturally feed from Tikka mags better. 2700s would be easy for a gt. My 21in runs 2850 with 109s, and shoots very well there.

Whats your powder charge though? Trying to be in that 29 tp 32 grains of powder, liking the dasher over the arc to use varget

Mid 33s, maybe 34gr, for varget will get you into 2700s. I use H4350 in my 6gt's.

37.5-38.1gr h4350 2740-2790

I've shot 105 aeromatch & vld, 108 eldm & elite hunter, & 109 eldm.

Varget noticeably less recoil and usually tighter SDs

Have shot deer out to 632m happily

I really enjoy shooting 6 dasher for prs, been thinking about gettting a carbon bartlein spun up for hunting. How have those that are hunting with one liked it for small to mid sized critters? What bullet and powder? I shoot 105 Berger and varget in my prs rig
