Curious is folks have used both the UM 6CM 108 ELDM loads and also Factory, and did you get more consistency from the UM loads?

I have a new 6CM on the way, and looking for ammo options. I REALLY don't want to hand load for this.

Hornady has seen quite a bit of consistency fluctuations from lot to lot here lately it seems according to some people (that don’t mean it isn’t accurate)

I would venture to guess that UM‘s ammo is more consistent because they are able to maintain better QC. Full disclosure I have not shot any of their ammo but have been with people that have shot it and that is what I’m basing my statement on.

Unless you are looking for a very specific degree of accuracy, I would assume that either of these would work for your needs.

Hornady definitely has inconsistencies due to powder availability etc, vs an autotrickler. R uses an auto trickler which is going to give you greater consistency. Also brass quality of um using adg, peterson lapua will be much better than hornady, especially if trying to push for velocity.

Current stuff you can get from UM is utilizing hornady brass anyway. I can essentially get 50 rounds of factory for 100 bucks, or 50 rounds of UM for 125. Trying to figure out whether it’s really worth a 25% uplift to get their ammo. I really don’t want to hand load this.

if thats the case i would just handload myself. Hornady brass in my experience is mediocre at best. And if you go peterson you have the the option for lrp or srp
