Id go 6.8 over wsm I am actually. Wsm doesn't gain u anything fps 6.8 uses less powder
i have been following this discussion from the side lines for a short time.
i am interested in the 6.8 western or 270 wsm . where i already have a 30 cal magnum i dont see a reason to have a 7mm at this point. personal opinion only. on a side note, today i got an email confirming Peterson is starting production january 2025 on the 25 creed. still waiting on their answer for the 6.8 western. i Have always loved the .277 caliber. and now there are heavier bullets. I am looking forward to building and working with one.

Got ADG 6.8W brass. Hunting season now so probably wont work with it for a bit. I saw Peterson is doing WSM cals now so hopefully 6.8W is not far behind as cases so similar

From what I gathered, Peterson will never make 6.8W brass. As long as ADG keeps producing every few months, they should be able to satisfy the market for 6.8W.

Why is that? They make a lot of brass for even existing rounds with less demand. Is there some behind the scenes bias at play like Hornady? However I do agree with ADG. It just seemed logical to make 6.8W if tooling for WSMs as case are nearly identical except oal

I'm largely basing that on the number of times they said they wouldn't produce the brass and the fact that ADG is already spun up for production. If 6.8W continues to get more popular, then I could see them getting involved.

IMO, there are 4 manufacturers of quality brass worldwide; ADG, Alpha, Lapua, and Peterson. I can't see it being worth competing with each other over the limited current market for 6.8W brass. I hope I'm wrong
