With adg now making 6.8 western brass has anyone here started necking up or down? Seems like a great case to build off dimensionaly, short action steep shoulder ect.
Neck up to 7 or down to 6.5 in one step, two bushings to 6mm or 30, hell I'm sure someone will .338 it for that matter. Lots of possibilities now that quality brass has been confirmed. I could see the 7mm being very popular and selfishly hope someone is working on a 6mm.
Anyone already try this?

Fair enough, hopefully with the brass comes interest and tooling will follow. I think the case would really suit something in the 6 to 7mm range

The WSM is close, but the SAUM is really close and is a common source of brass for the 6.8. Using the same fast twist barrel, any difference would be very slight. The other two have a normal SAAMI barrel twist that’s slower, but in a custom barrel that’s not a concern since any twist can be specified (and it should be specified or you’ll get the SAAMI standard).

25 Cal is done and is awesome. Reamer is currently available for rent

6mm version coming soon

Overall it's a great case to work with, if anyone is wanting to design their own reamer, pm me and I'll let you know what I've learned

To me the 6.8 Western is kind of like a RSAUM improved but without having to fireform it.

With good brass from ADG now available I could see the 257 Western and 6 Western wildcats becoming popular choices.

have been shooting a 30-6.8W since the SAAMI prints came out. it is an accurate, easy to tune round that keeps close to factory 300wm ammo with velocities in the 3000-3050 fps range with 180gr and using about 10gr less powder.
if you look closely the western reamer is basically the WSM ran short making it an easy wildcat to do and just shortened the WSM sizing, seating dies which saves on custom dies.
