Good points streamerfish. If it boils down to something in the 2700s with a 140 class bullet I won't be bothered. Again, looking for a 400 yard solution for mountain species.
I have deliberated a lot if I want to step away from the 280. It's been a great gun and I have some great memories with it. However, variety is the spice of life and with keeping the action I can say it's still out kicking it, at least in part.
It's nice to hear some first hand accounts of people having good success with both cartridges.
