6.5 WSM- 147eldm or 156 eol?

Im looking in to this. Does anyone make dies for it? I have a 25-270 wsm

Lee and Redding make 6.5WSM dies.

Thanks for the reply, you are correct in that my 300 barrel is 24". So that does account for a little over 100fps.
So wind drift is the key factor we are looking for? Id like to know what the actual difference would be, I don't have the software to run that.
I've got 3 rifles in pieces on my bench and I'm just trying to find an idea of what to do with them. I've been thinking one 7wsm with the 180eldm. One in either 6 or 25x284 and the last is either going to become a 25wsm with 145's, a 25 western with 134's, or a 6um with 108's

As far as restricting bore size, you are aware of "barrel burners". The concept of restricting bore size increases pressure, and pressure=force. When you are dropping grain weights you are reducing felt recoil. However when you keep the same grain weight you are actually increasing force. For example a 25-08 with a 125 grain bullet would recoil more than a 308 with a 125 grain bullet loaded to match muzzle velocity. If you load to match powder the recoil will be similar but the 308 will be a good bit faster.

Did you do a ladder test with the N565 and that combo? Curious roughly at what gr powder you found pressure?

I should've written this down, but IIRC, I started a pressure ladder at 63 gr and increased by .5 grain, and I hit bolt lift at 66.5. I have some Norma brass with Rem magnum primers prepped, and I'm going to see if I get the same results.

I meant to add that half of my Hornady brass (primed factory seconds) needs neck turned because the necks are too thick for my chamber. I see ADG has 270 WSM back in stock and I may pick some of these up based on their good reputation.

I’ve got ADG 270 WSM brass prepped to do a pressure ladder - this info helps!
