6.5 PRC Springfield Waypoint

Finally located/bought a 6.5 PRC Springfield Waypoint. Ordered a March scope 2.5-25x42mm with the MTR-4 reticle, second focal plane and 30mm tube. I also looked hard at the Leupold Mark 5HD and the Nightforce NXS scopes. Since this is going to be a hunting rifle I ended up selecting the March scope, because of the 30mm tube and 2nd focal plane.
After looking at the trajectory of the 143gr ELDX I think I will zero the rifle at 250yds, which will allow me to hold dead on out to 300yds and dial elevation for anything beyond that.

Any suggestions for rings? I had ordered a set of Larue rings, but just got a email saying they were back ordered.

The adjustable stock is not really needed, I have a VX5HD with medium Seekins rings on the factory rail and my comb is adjusted all the way down. Save yourself the extra pound unless you’re running a bigger long range scope. Have a box of ammo through mine and it easily meets their .75 moa guarantee and slightly better so far.

congratulations, is this the carbon fiber barrel? how does it shoot, do you have range report if possible?
I am tracking one that is chambered in 6.5 PRC, CF barrel

There's good argument around here for zeroing at 100y, you could then dial to "zero "at 250. Enjoy the rifle!

Good point, I think this 6.5 PRC rifle should be zeroed at 200 the least. IMHO

Anyone seen a Waypoint 6.5PRC with the steel barrel in the wild? I saw a couple with the carbon barrel at a Scheels opening day but since then, nada. The steel barreled non-adjustable stock is, to me, a heck of a deal.

Haven’t seen any steel barrels in any caliber yet, probably out there but … I know my gun shop got 2 or 3 of the prc carbon barrels in but they were spoken for already.

I came across one on gun broker, sold within a day. The interesting part is that I saw couple of steel barrels on weird looking website online, but I think it's not legit. highly suspicious to be scammers.

Today I checked 6.5 PRC CF in store, boy oh boy, it's so beautiful, well done springfield
