Why do some manuals show standard and some use magnum for the same powders listed? I decided on magnum because that's what the manual showed. Would standard be better? I know a lot of people use standard. I'm using Retumbo right now with my LD with 142 ABLR.

I use both, 129's magnum , 140's standard. I don't see a big difference, just had 1k magnums decided to use them up.

Oh ok. I wasn't sure if there would be a big difference or not. Can I use the same load data or should I back off a little?

I use Federal 210's. If you don't get decent groups with the magnum primers, that would be the first thing I'd change, if running a recommended load from a manual. I have a Bench Rest buddy and he assures me they do make a difference. I certainly understand with the primer shortage, a man has to make do with what he has.

I started with CCI br-2’s and velocity was extremely inconsistent.
Switched to Federal 215’s and and the groups tightened right up.
My extreme spread is a 9 fps.
