I like H1000 and RL26. I can get 3000 fps easily with hornady 143 eldx with sub 1/2 inch groups. I just started reloading with RL26 but have not found a sweet spot yet.

I’ve heard n565 works really well in the 6.5prc with the heaviest bullets. I shoot a 6.5-284 and I use Berger 156’s,h-1000, fed210’s and I get 2930fps. Beyond amazing accuracy.

In all seriousness w/ 140 class bullets it’s H1000 for me with Retumbo a close 2nd

RL26 and am getting 3050 fps with 147 grain ELD-M.

I got good results out of RL26 140g Accubond 2970fps average 1/2 moa groups.

I wanted to use h1000 or Retumbo (I am still looking), however the issue that I am having is finding the powder. However I have found a good supply of Magpro so I am going to work up a load with this and see what results I can get.

I’ve tried H1000, Retumbo and Magnum for the 143 eldx so far. H1000 gave me the best velocity with decent accuracy at right around 3k, but Retumbo gave very good accuracy and consistent single digit SD at a lower velocity of 2925. I have some 140 Elite Hunters loaded with H1000 that I have not been able to try yet, some 153 Atips and 156 EOL on the way that I will test with both H1000 and Retumbo.

I have not seen any of the pixie dust (RL26) available in a long time so I haven’t had the chance to try that.

I was going to try 8133 as I found some and should be similar to retumbo, but in my other loads doesn't work as well as Retumbo.

Are you running a 20" barrel?
Mine is a 24" and I am seeing 3100 with hot loads and 3000 with low loads. Thats all with a Berger 156 Eol and H1000. I didn't get pressure til 59.9

I load N565 in mine with Berger 156’s. I’m at 58.4 grains pushing them 3015 out of a 24” tube. You have room to go with that 143.

I load H1000 with 156's I'm running 2950fps . This combo is extremely accurate.

I just ordered 2lbs of Ramshot Magnum to work up loads for a 6.5 PRC I haven’t even bought yet lol.

I’ve had good luck with Ramshot TAC in 308 with velocity and accuracy.

Any loaded Magnum in PRC?

I think H1000 is still the gold standard. Retumbo may be a little too slow. My buddies have used H4831 as well as the SC version with good success

I tried h1000 in my prc with 140 eldms didn’t find a extremely accurate load but wanted to get a hundred or so rounds through the barrel and fine tune. Then I couldn’t find more h1000 but found some magnum and tried that. I’m having really good luck with the magnum but now can’t find more.

So goes life.

I use H1000 pushing a 147eldm at 2965fps and groups 1/2" at 100 yards. It was the only powder that I was able to get my hands on and since it shot well with good velocity I haven't tried any others.
