Currently building a 6.5 prc on a mdt hntr 26 chassis. Chassis was won in a draw, so I am committed to using it. SA model. Have a 300 win mag as my daily driver, so wanted something for medium sized game. Will be used primarily for hunting, but odd plinking at the range with low expectations. Going with trigger tech trigger, ibi carbon hunter barrel, ibi brake, and cadex seven star action. Not looking to make it the lightest setup in the world, but can appreciate cutting some ounces if it doesn’t give up performance. Any tips or opinions on this build? First time going custom, would like to get it semi right if possible. Thanks in advance

Unless it is clearly what you want, don't spend money just because you won the chassis. Selling is always an option and at the cost of putting something together I'd rather take a loss selling and rebuying a difference inlet over building something that I was half happy with.

I'm personally not a fan of carbon barrels and see there only value being cosmetic when compared to steel with aggressive fluting.

If you reload there are lots of SA options. Nothing wrong with a 6,5 PRC , but you are basing the build off a lightweight chassis, so why not build a cool lightweight, low recoiling rifle that will kill anything in North America?
Not familiar with the barrel, brake, or action you plan on using.

I have that same chassis in 6.5 prc. I freaking love it. After using it for 3 seasons now all my hunting rifles from here on out will be on a folding chassis or stock. That manners folder looks awesome.
I used a tikka 6.5creed as a donor action, and the SA chassis as well. I have 156s going 2930fps
