I'm thinking of jumping into bushing dies for my 6.5PRC. Leaning heavily toward Hornady though not 100% sold.

Which bushing die set would you get (without getting too wild with costs)?
Which bushing sizes would you order with the dies?

Measure the od of one of the necks on one of your loaded rounds with calipers. I am assuming this is a magazine fed rifle. If so, I would start with a bushing .003 smaller than your neck and buy 2 or 3 more, each .001 smaller.

I should have qualified I don't have anything for this rifle yet. Hoping to place 1 or 2 orders to avoid single orders of tiny bushings and paying $25 for shipping.

Depends on your brand of brass as well. Different manufacturers will require different bushing sizes.

You really can’t have any idea until you have brass and bullets in hand and can take some measurements. With ADG and a 127 Barnes LRX I use a .291 bushing, but that’s likely meaningless to you at this point.

Are you a new reloader?

I only ask because maybe not apparent, but brass brand, spring back, and what you use to expand, If anything plays a role in what neck bushing size you choose.

If you understand those things, all you need is to decide on brass and ask for the loaded neck diameter.

I simplified my reloading life. I decided on brass type and a few different projectiles. I ordered Forster dies and sent it all in to Forster. They hone the dies for the brass and the seating stems for the projectile. It does not cost much and turnaround was fairly quick. Whidden sells tons of bushing dies but if you watch his video he says traditional FL dies provide more consistent sizing and less runout over bushing dies.
