I’ve settled on 41.5 grains H4350 with 143 ELDX. It’s accurate but when shooting suppressed, I’ll get a high pressure bolt lift and case mark after 3-4 shots in a row. I’m considering loading a ladder in the high 39 to mid 40 grain range.

Anyone shooting a lower node in 6.5 Creedmoor?

I’ve loaded down quite a bit, and it’s worked extremely well. I started loading down for my PRS rifles so I didn’t have pressure issues shooting in hot, humid, rainy and or dusty matches. What I found were most of the loads I was using got even more consistent. SD’s were better, and they were a bit more precise on target as well. I’m not at home to look at my loading data, but I think I landed at 40 grns of H4350 pushing a 142 SMK at 2696 out of a 26” Proof barrel. That experience really made me rethink loading down, and I’ve since done it with other cartridges with a similar effect.
