6.5 Creedmoor 129 SST

My 260Rem loves the 129 SST, but then again that rifle of mine does seem to shoot well with a variety of rounds. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it on deer.
 
I haven’t killed with the SST, but I suspect that it behaves terminally a lot like the ELDX.

The ELDM seems to expand a bit less aggressively than the ELDX, and I believe at least part of the reason is that its tip and the HP behind the tip are generally smaller than in the ELDX.


That is correct. AMAX’s tend to upset more violently/readily than the ELD-M due to different tip material primarily. The ELD-X has a slightly thicker jacket generally than either, but generally has a larger tip opening and much larger open cavity behind the tip.
