I posted this earlier today but don’t think it was approved because I linked to another forum, AccurateShooter. Reposting without the link.
Factory rifles from at least 2 manufacturers are currently being made with a 1:7 twist rate: Browning X-Bolt (every 6.5 CM model) & Q The FIX (16” + 22”)
All of Browning’s current X-bolt 6.5 Creedmoor rifles are 1:7 and I believe they started transitioning to this in 2022. Also I’ve seen 6.5 CM prefits available in 1:7. Maybe only necessary for mono’s but from other articles and threads I’ve not seen any drawbacks.
This article excerpt shows a test Bryan Litz did with .308 and 1:12-1:8 and only negative impact was 5 fps reduction in velocity which could just be naturally occurring variance between even same manufacturer barrels with same twist rates.
Anyways this is directly related and I haven’t searched Rokslide specifically for “1:7 X-bolts” but will to see what reviews and posts have been made.

Browning Xbolt Long Range rate twist change for 2018?
Looking to pick up a Hell's Canyon Long Range in 6.5 Creedmoor to go along with a Hell's Canyon Speed I have in 243 and did notice that Browning has changed over the twist rate on most of their long rang rifle with the heavy sporter profile for this 2018 calendar year.. In the 6.5, they are...
