Anyone shoot Accubonds in their creedmoors? I have a Bergara B-14 Hunter and the thing is a tack driver with Hornady 143 grain ELD-X bullets, but I've read enough stories about people being unsatisfied with their performance on game, and I never hear any complaints about Nosler's performance on game, so I've thought about switching.

How are the 6.5mm accubonds? Good accuracy? Worth twice the money as the eld-x?

My kids and I have shot about a dozen deer with 140gr ABLR’’s
I’ve never seen more meat loss then I have with them. They penetrate fairly well but shed the majority of their weight. Ranges varied from 7 yards to about 325 yards, so none of them qualify as long range which is what the bullet was designed for.
I’ve yet to try the standard accubonds but I’m told they have a thicker jacket and penetrate better with less meat damage.

We’ve shot a few deer with 143GR ELDX loads. Just as accurate as the Accubonds but they don’t seem to hold together as well. Never recovered any portion of a ELDX larger than 10 grains and penetration wasn’t stellar. That said, the deer shot all died I’m not so sure that it would be the best choice for an elk bullet

Not in a Creed, but I really wanted the 140AB to work in my 6.5 Swede. It has a 1:8 twist, like most 6.5s & I couldn't do a single thing to get acceptable accuracy from them. Admittedly, I'm pushing them a little faster, but I don't think it's enough to have been an issue (around 2850 from a 20" barrel)
The thing with the traditional Noslers (ABs & Partitions) is they have a really long bearing surface & short ogive. The long range bullets like the ELDx, VLD etc have a really long ogive & shorter bearing surface.
The Nolsers act, in effect, like a much heavier bullet compared to the new pointy needles. I think they'd perform better, from my limited experience anyway, with a much faster 1:6 twist.

But I'm not a ballistician & the cheap, military pressure 160gn round nose Swedes shoot a 1 hole group at 2300 fps from the same barrel so there's that....... :D

I shot them out of my 264 win for a couple seasons. Worked great on a couple elk and a couple bucks. Neve had an issue getting then to shoot well.

Iv used accubonds exclusively in most of my rifles, tho my 6.5 is a Swede and not a creed, it loves the 140 grain AB’s. It did an amazing job on my ram last fall, meat loss wasn’t bad at all.

I have a partial box (27 bullets) of 140 Accubonds that I’m not using. I’d be willing to trade for a like amount of ELD-X, ELD-M, or Berger’s if anyone’s interested in trying them without buying a box of 50. I have been running 140 Ballistic tips with decent results but am curious about the high BC bullets. PM me if anyone wants to trade!

My Creedmoors like the factory black box 140 grain Nosler BT's. My Sako Finnlight in 6.5 Swede is a one hole rifle with the Nosler Trophy Grade 140 Accubonds (I just wish it didn't have ejection problems). All my Creedmoors also like the Hornady 143 ELD-X also.

Isn't that the truth? I don't know what it is about the 143 ELD-X. Slow poke suminabutch. Shoots like gangbusters thoigh. It's like the yard stick by which creed bullets are judged .
